OVERVIEW
This 8‑day safari is designed to give you a complete experience of northern Tanzania’s most iconic parks. It combines the elephant herds and baobabs of Tarangire, the diverse habitats of Lake Manyara, the endless plains of Serengeti, and the dramatic wildlife sanctuary of Ngorongoro Crater. With enough time in each location, you enjoy game drives without rushing, while immersing yourself in landscapes, wildlife, and culture.
DAY TO DAY ACTIVITIES
DAY ONE: ARUSHA – TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK.
-Non game-viewing travel time: 3 hours
-Distance: 210 km
-After breakfast, meet your guide and drive to Tarangire National Park. The park is famous for its giant baobab trees and large elephant herds. The Tarangire River attracts wildlife throughout the dry season, making it a hotspot for zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, and predators. Lunch is served at a picnic site, followed by an afternoon game drive until evening. Dinner and overnight at lodge or camp near Tarangire.
DAY TWO: TARANGIRE – LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK
-Non game-viewing travel time: 2 hours
-Distance: 120 km
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park. The park lies at the base of the Rift Valley escarpment and is known for tree‑climbing lions, hippos, flamingos, and large troops of baboons. Explore the forest, open plains, and lake shore. Lunch is taken inside the park, then continue with game viewing until late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at lodge or camp near Lake Manyara.

DAY THREE: LAKE MANYARA – CENTRAL SERENGETI
-Non game-viewing travel time: 4–5 hours
-Distance: 205 km
Leave Lake Manyara and drive through Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area into Serengeti National Park. Descend into the endless plains and head to the Seronera Valley, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park. Arrive in time for lunch, then enjoy an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight in Serengeti lodge or tented camp.
DAY FOUR: SERENGETI PLAINS
-Spend the full day exploring Serengeti. Morning and afternoon game drives take you across river circuits and open plains. Expect sightings of lions, cheetahs, leopards, and large herds of wildebeest and zebra. Picnic lunch keeps you in the bush all day. Dinner and overnight in Serengeti.
DAY FIVE: SERENGETI PLAINS
-Another full day in Serengeti. Explore kopjes (rock outcrops) that serve as mini‑ecosystems and often shelter lions. Watch giraffes, gazelles, and ostriches across the plains. Optional hot air balloon safari can be arranged at sunrise (extra cost). Dinner and overnight in Serengeti.
DAY SIX: SERENGETI – NGORONGORO HIGHLANDS
-Non game-viewing travel time: 4 Hours
-Distance: 145km
-Morning game drive in Serengeti, then travel toward Ngorongoro. On the way, visit a Maasai village to experience traditional life. Arrive at the crater rim by evening. Dinner and overnight at lodge overlooking the crater.
DAY SEVEN: NGORONGORO CRATER
After early breakfast, descend 600 meters into Ngorongoro Crater for a full‑day game drive. The crater floor is home to black rhinos, lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, and abundant birdlife. Picnic lunch at the hippo pool. Continue exploring until late afternoon, then ascend to the rim. Dinner and overnight at lodge.
DAY EIGHT: NGORONGORO – ARUSHA
-Non game-viewing travel time: 4 Hours
-Distance: 210 km
-After breakfast, drive back to Arusha. Depending on schedule, enjoy lunch en route or in town. Safari ends with drop‑off at your hotel or airport.
